In-Person Payments may be made at the Sangamon County Treasurer's Office no later than each installment due date at 5:00 pm to avoid late penalty. Both cash and checks are accepted as payments until 8:45am on October 30, 2009, the following are acceptable methods of payment: cash, money order or cashier/certified checks. Parking tickets are validated in the lobby of the County Building. Mail Payments must be postmarked no later than the installment due date to avoid late penalty. Payments in the form of check should be mailed to : Sangamon County Collector P.O Box 19400 Springfield Il 62794-9400 Drive Thru Payments Treasurer’s office employees will be accepting payments at the specially marked drive thru lanes at the Sangamo Chapter Credit Union on each installment due date and the four days preceding the due date. Drive thru payment hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday thru Friday. The Sangamo Chapter Credit Union is located at 310 South Grand Ave East, Springfield. The Credit Union is on the south side of the street between the 3rd Street railroad tracks and 4th street in Springfield. E-check E -check Payments On Line Via the Internet E-check payments may be made via the internet at Tax.Co.Sangamon.Il.Us no later than each installment due date to avoid late penalty. Internet payment can be made from May thru October via the above noted website. Please have your parcel identification number or property address available and the routing and transit number and bank account number when making a payment via the internet. No convenience fee is charged for using the site. Credit or Debit Card Payments On Line Via the Internet Credit or debit card payments may be made via the internet at www.illinoisepay.com no later than each installment due date to avoid late penalty. Internet payment can be made from May thru October via the above noted website. Please have your parcel identification number and payment amount available when making a payment via the internet. A convenience fee is charged for using the site by the credit card companies. None of that fee is received by either Sangamon County or Sangamon County taxing bodies. By Phone Payments may be made via the telephone at 1-877-ILL-EPAY (1-877- 455-3729)with a credit or debit card no later than each installment due date to avoid late penalty. Telephone payment can be made from May thru October. Please have your parcel identification number and payment amount available and credit card available when making a payment via the phone. A convenience fee is charged for using this system. The local governmental entities who use this system and the State Treasurer's office do not receive any revenue from the fee charged.
