OEM provides life safety underwater rescue and recovery on any body of water within the County.

OEM maintains and exercises an emergency operations plan. OEM also maintains equipment and trains a squad of volunteers whose efforts can be coordinated with other public safety providers for responses to emergencies and disasters within the County. OEM collects and maintains information to identify locations of sizable hazardous materials storage within the County and writes plans for the storage of extremely hazardous substances.
