Employment Requirements

Applicants for any professional probation-related position in the Sangamon County Court Services Department must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably with major course work in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related Social Sciences
  • Be a United States citizen
  • Meet residency requirement
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Satisfy a police background check

Applicants for any support position in the Sangamon County Court Services Department must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalency
  • Be a United States citizen
  • Meet residency requirement
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Satisfy a police background check
