Tim Moore has represented the citizens of his District as a member of the Sangamon County Board since 1999. Tim was reelected in 2002, 2004 and 2006 to represent the area located in the south-central portion of Springfield.    

Tim believes that good government is attainable when its policies support          

families, promote and attract businesses and maintain the essential services to the citizens of the County.  Tim believes that citizen’s tax dollars are to be jealously guarded and spent frugally, with the thought in mind that the Board should reduce taxes whenever possible.

• Springfield Native: Tim grew up on Springfield’s East Side, attended St. Cabrini School and Griffin High School.
• U.S. Army Veteran having served from 1982-1992 attaining the rank of Captain          
• Graduate of Illinois State University (B.S.’84) and Northern Illinois University (J.D.’91)
• Member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church
• Sales and Account Manager for Thomson-West
• Member of the Illinois State Bar, Virginia State Bar (inactive), IL Government Bar Association and the Sangamon County Bar Association

Tim and his wife, Donna are the parents of seven children. Donna is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Illinois Army National Guard.
