In representing District 13, constituents have found Sam Montalbano to be a caring man who understands the concerns of the people in his district. He is very involved with what is happening in his district and has always taken a hands-on approach.

Sam has demonstrated his abilities by serving on the Finance Committee, is Chairman of the Road and Bridge Committee and has served on the Liquor Committee for many years. In past years, Sam has served on the Collective Bargaining Committee, the Jail – ESDA Committee and served as Vice Chairman of the Civil Liabilities Committee. In his earlier days on the Board, Sam was Chairman of the Project Y2K Road Commission Ad Hoc Subcommittee, a representative for the County on the Tax Increment Financing Board (T.I.F.) for the former Fiat-Allis Project, currently serves on the Community Service Block Grant Board and on the Insurance Board of Managers.

Sam has served the community through numerous programs. He’s involved in a leadership role as a member of Little Flower Church, where he chairs many activities. He volunteers with Friend in Deed, was a leader in Scout Troop 202 for ten years, the vice-president of Southwood Khoury League and union steward with Teamsters Local 916. Sam was a bakery salesman for Interstate Brands Corporation for 32 years.

Sam has remained active in the community doing work with our veterans and their causes. He is presently a member of four local veteran’s posts. By staying active in community projects, Sam has maintained an awareness of the needs and changes in his district.
