Sarah Musgrave was elected to the County Board to represent District 9 in November of 2002. She is a lifelong resident of her district and the Rochester community. Sarah is a graduate of Rochester High School and Lincoln Land Community College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from the University of Illinois.

Sarah is employed as a statewide representative and career counselor for the State of Illinois’ Upward Mobility Program. She helps clients achieve educational and career goals, which also helps her better understand the needs and concerns of the citizens in District 9.

Sarah currently serves on the following county board standing committees:

• Citizens Advisory Committee on Animal Control – Chairman
• Comprehensive Fire District Committee – Chairman

• Building & Grounds - Past Member
• Community Resource Committee -  Past Member
• Jail/OEM Committee – Past Member and Past Vice-Chairman

Sarah also has many community interests and is active in variousorganizations including the following:

• East Sangamon County Republican Club
• Rochester Historical Preservation Society
• Society of Mayflower Descendants
• Rochester Mothers Club

Sarah has committed herself to excellence and pledges to make informed decisions that will contribute to making District 9 a great place in which to work and reside. She and her husband live in Rochester with their daughter, Julia.
